We bring you some interesting statistics following the second day of action at Women's Rugby World Cup 2010.
- South Africa created a piece of history on Tuesday with their
15-10 defeat of Wales giving them their first ever victory on the
Women's Rugby World Cup stage.
- New Zealand, England, Canada and France are the only unbeaten
sides now after two rounds of the pool stages, while Sweden,
Scotland, Kazakhstan and Wales are still looking for their first
win of the tournament.
- Surrey Sports Park was again a sell-out on day two of the
tournament.
- The dream of reaching the WRWC 2010 semi finals is still alive
for eight of the 12 participating teams with Wales, Kazakhstan,
Sweden and Scotland the exceptions.
- England recorded both the highest score and biggest winning
margin of WRWC 2010 with their 82-0 defeat of Kazakhstan in Pool B
- Ireland, South Africa and Wales picked up their first points of
the tournament, leaving only Kazakhstan and Scotland on zero in
their respective pools.
- Sweden and Ireland scored their first tries of the tournament
in their matches with Canada and USA respectively, Kazakhstan are
now the only side at WRWC 2010 yet to score a try.
- Christy Ringgenberg remains the leading point scorer at WRWC
2010 despite not adding to her 26 points from day one. Hot on her
heels are Canada fly half Anna Schnell, who kicked 10 points
against Sweden, on 22, one more than England's Katy McLean with
Carla Hohepa (New Zealand), Heather Moyse (Canada) and Fiona Pocock
(England) on 20.
- England, Ireland and Scotland are the only sides not to have
received a yellow card in the opening two match days. Australia, by
contrast, have had five players sin-binned in two Pool A matches.
- The Black Ferns have now won 16 matches in a row on the
Women's Rugby World Cup stage, their only loss coming in the
1991 semi finals at the hands of eventual winners USA.
- We are still awaiting the first drop goal of Women's Rugby
World Cup 2010.
- USA remain the leading point scorers in WRWC history with 966,
ahead of New Zealand - who have played a tournament less than their
nearest rivals - on 883 and England on 850.
- The average number of tries per match at WRWC 2010 is 6.33,
with slightly more of these coming in the first half.
- New Zealand wing Carla Hohepa, Canada flyer Heather Moyse and
Fiona Pocock of England are the leading try scorers with four.
- The average number of penalties per match is less than one at
0.92.
- England are the leading point scorers at WRWC 2010 with 109
with New Zealand (87) and Canada (77) the closest to also breaking
the 100-point barrier.
- Forty tries were scored on day two - taking the total for the
tournament to 76 - although only 23 of them were turned into seven
pointers.
- Katy McLean, England's captain against Kazakhstan, leads
the way with nine conversions, one more than Canadian fly half Anna
Schnell.
- Following Carla Hohepa's solitary hat-trick on day one, the
feat was repeated by Canada's Heather Moyse and England duo
Fiona Pocock and Charlotte Barras on Tuesday.
- A total of 252 points were scored on day two, seven more than
the 12 teams accumulated on the opening day.
- England's try fest against Kazakhstan means they are now
the leading try scorers in WRWC 2010 with 16, one more than
defending champions New Zealand.
- Fifty-one players have scored tries in Women's Rugby World
Cup 2010 so far.
- Kazakhstan are the only side yet to score a point in the
tournament after losing 51-0 to USA and 82-0 to hosts England.
- Sweden have kicked the most penalties at WRWC 2010 with four,
all of them by their inspirational captain Ulrika Andersson-Hall.
- Joy Neville marked her 50th test with two tries in
Ireland's 22-12 defeat of USA.

WRWC 2010 matches, their 82-0 defeat of Kazakhstan seeing them
overtake New Zealand who sit on 43.50.
- A total of 11 penalties have been kicked at Women's Rugby
World Cup 2010.
- Kazakhstan have conceded 133 points in two matches, more than
double the next worst of South Africa on 65.
- England have not conceded a single point while the Black Ferns
of New Zealand have only had eight points, including one try - by
Australia's Lindsay Morgan - scored against them at WRWC 2010.
- There have been no red cards so far at Women's Rugby World Cup 2010.
