
Surrey Sports Park is to be the host venue for the
Women's Rugby World Cup 2010.
The 12 qualified teams will spend three weeks living,
training and performing at the venue.
All match and training pitches, accommodation, catering,
physiotherapy and team rooms will be supplied and maintained by
Surrey Sports Park.

Surrey Sports Park is based in Guildford, in the South East of
England. Situated close to the Guildford mainline train station and
within a short walk of the town centre, Surrey Sports Park is
located across the A3, near the Royal Surrey County Hospital.
By Train
Guildford is on the main line between London Waterloo and
Portsmouth. Half-hourly train services run from Guildford to
Waterloo, with journey times of 40 minutes. For further

From the railway station
Walking: Leave station by footbridge and rear exit. Turn
right from the station along Guildford Park Road and continue along
Madrid Road and The Chase for a mile. Follow the path past the
Guildford Cathedral to the main University of Surrey campus
entrance. At the entrance turn left through the woodland area and
follow the path through two underpass tunnels until you reach
Tescos. Follow the main road around left (Egerton Road) until the
mini-roundabout at the entrance of the Royal Surrey County
Hospital. The entrance to Surrey Sports Park should be visible on
the left-hand side via Richard Meyjes Road. (20-25 mins)
Bus: ARRIVA buses (leave station by footbridge and rear exit,
cross main road to bus stop) operates a regular service to Surrey
Sports Park via its 36 and 37 bus services, which currently provide
a 20 minute frequent link during the main part of the day on
Mondays to Saturdays, and every half-hour during the evenings and
Sundays.
Egerton Road and the Royal Surrey County Hospital are also
both a few minutes walk to Surrey Sports Park, which you can access
from services 3, 4, 5, 26, 27, 36 and 37 run approximately every
ten minutes during the day. The earliest service is at
approximately 6am and the last bus is just before midnight. On

By Air
Guildford is conveniently placed for both Heathrow and
Gatwick airports.
Via London Airport (Heathrow)
Rail-air link coaches leave Terminal 2 for Woking railway
station from 6.30am to 10.50pm, picking up from Terminals 3, 1 and
4. Between 6.35am and 8.30pm they run approximately every half an
hour, otherwise it is an hourly service. Journey time to Woking is
one hour. There are frequent trains from Woking to Guildford. For

Via London Airport (Gatwick)
Gatwick station is positioned in the South Terminal of the
airport and provides direct rail-air link trains to Guildford
hourly between approximately 5.15am (6am on Sundays) and 11pm. For

By Coach
National Express coach number SH030 runs services to and from
the Egerton Road/Tesco stop (a short walk from Surrey Sports Park).

By Car
Guildford is 30 miles south-west of London, on the A3
London-Portsmouth road. If approaching from London or the M25
(Junction 10), remain on the bypass (A3) until you reach the exit
signed to the Cathedral and University. At the roundabout take the
third exit signposted Royal Surrey County Hospital and University,
Manor Park. Simply follow the signs to the Royal Surrey County
Hospital for approximately a mile, and approach Surrey Sports Park
on the left. Take the first exit on the mini-roundabout at the
entrance of the hospital, signposted Richard Meyjes Road, which
leads to the entrance of Surrey Sports Park.
If approaching on the A322 or A323 from Bagshot or Aldershot,
at the A3 roundabout take the exit signed to Portsmouth, and then
turn off the A3 at the first exit (signed to the Cathedral and
University). At the roundabout take the third exit signposted Royal
Surrey County Hospital and University, Manor Park. Simply follow
the signs to the Royal Surrey County Hospital for approximately a
mile, and approach Surrey Sports Park on the left. Take the first
exit on the mini-roundabout at the entrance of the hospital,
signposted Richard Meyjes Road, which leads to the entrance of
Surrey Sports Park.
If entering Guildford from Horsham (A281) or Godalming
(A3100), leave the central gyratory system at the exit signed for
Farnham (A31). After approximately 200 yards, at the
mini-roundabout, take the first turning right into Guildford Park
Road, and continue along Madrid Road and The Chase for a mile. At
the next roundabout, take the first exit and follow the signs to
the Royal Surrey County Hospital for approximately a mile. Take the
first exit on the mini-roundabout at the entrance of the hospital,
signposted Richard Meyjes Road, which leads to the entrance of
Surrey Sports Park.
Car Parking
For the duration of the Women's Rugby World Cup, there is
no free car parking immediately next to the venue.
Pay and display car parking is available at the Universities
Stag Hill Campus, prices are up to 1 hour 60 pence / up to 2 hours
£1.20 / up to 4 hours £4.30 / up to 6 hours £6.50 / Over 6 hours
£6.50.
A shuttle bus service is available from Stag Hill to SSP and
costs 70p/single and £1/return. The service runs every 20mins, with
a 30min service after 8pm
